What’s the fastest growing sector in cuisine when you travel? That’s veganism. And there are actually more people ordering vegan food than are actually vegans.

 

As a result, more and more destinations are literally catering to this.

 

Australia has gone way beyond throwing another shrimp on the barbie. There is now no shortage of innovative and tasty plant-based options down under.

 

Israel is another veggie-friendly destination. In fact, Domino’s decided to launch its first vegan pizza here.

 

Although countries are responding to the growing demand for meatless options, there are still a few places that herbivores might want to avoid.

 

Fish is a staple of the Japanese diet, and fish stock is used in many dishes that would typically be considered vegan. In Portugal and Cuba, most dishes feature generous cuts of pork and beef. And the same goes for Argentina.
