Have you ever stayed at a hotel and wondered just how clean your bed sheets actually are?

Officials in Wuhan, China are implementing a new technology in hotels that can actually tell you when, how, and how often your bed sheets were last washed.

Special chips with “QR” codes are sewn into the sheets and blankets, allowing guests to scan them with their smartphones.

By doing this, visitors will be able to find information pertaining to both the sheets and the towels.

At some hotels in the United States, guest room cleanliness is now monitored through online databases.

These systems can not only track which rooms need prioritized cleaning, but they can also calculate the most efficient cleaning schedule for the staff.

But for my money, I really like the Chinese approach best. It gives me real-time control of the information.
