How Millennials Are Changing the Travel Industry

Though millennials have often been blamed for the demise of certain legacy industries in this country, that’s not true when it comes to travel.

According to the latest research, 55% of millennials are planning to travel in the next 12 months, a higher rate than Gen X and even baby boomers.

Millennials also redeem travel rewards more frequently than older generations.

And now, many companies are looking to cater their rewards to millennial travelers by offering more flexibility and choice beyond just an airline ticket.

Companies like British Airways and Marriott now allow members to spend points to book experiences, such as booking cruises or purchasing tickets to music festivals like Coachella tickets.
