Women Business Travelers’ Safety Concerns

A majority of U.S. based business women travelers say they’ve experienced safety issues on their trips.

Recently, the Global Business Travel Association reported that 78% of the women it surveyed were concerned about sexual harassment or assault on their trips. And 65% were concerned about kidnapping.

And perhaps, more importantly, 68% of the women business travelers said their companies should have firm policies in place that address their needs.

For the moment, these concerns are not stopping them from traveling. But many are now pressuring their own companies for additional training, not just for them but for company officials when dealing with harassment, assault and kidnapping.
