Just when you thought chaos at boarding gates couldn’t get any worse, there’s Delta’s new announcement that starting in January, it will no longer board by zones but by ticket type.
And fasten your seat belt — that means eight different boarding groups for any one flight. If you paid the most for your ticket, you board first, followed by premium flyers, followed by frequent flyers, followed by five different zones of coach passengers.
Are you confused? You will be. This will not shorten the process.
How about this suggestion? Have two boarding groups: children followed by those who act like them.
