Recreation.gov is a great data base of campgrounds around the country. All you need to do is plug in your destination, your arrival and departure dates. The site generates a very helpful map indicating available campsites and also those that are already booked.
ThePackingList.com reminds you of things you might forget such as a first aid kit, hiking boots, fishing gear, that very necessary bug spray and even marshmallow skewers.
And Campendium.com gives you must-know information about cell service, electrical hookups and the all-important toilet facilities.
