Everyone loves discounts when we travel, but there are now some meaningful senior citizen discounts for travelers.
On Amtrak, passengers who are 65 and over get a 10% discount on most rail fares on most Amtrak trains.
And on some expensive routes, the savings can add up. On British Airways, members of AARP, 55 and over, can get $65 off their economy ticket and a $200 discount when they travel business class.
But don’t look for this to be mentioned on its website… you need to ask for it.
Marriott offers guests who are 62 and over, a 15% discount on their room. Once again, they’re not going to advertise that, but you’ll need to ask for it.
And one of the best senior deals going, is from the U.S. National Park Service. Americans citizens who are 62 or over can access all of the national parks, get this, for the rest of their lives for just $80.
