Here’s a metric you don’t see very often to determine where you may not want to go. Which cities are the most rat infested around the world?

First place is, probably not a surprise, New York. Boston, Baltimore, and Chicago follow. New Orleans then comes in fifth followed by Atlanta.

Overseas, the rat prize goes to London, where the River Thames is a rat magnet. And of course there’s Paris.

And then there are parts of India where rats actually get worshipped, and they infest the temples.  There, it’s considered lucky for a rat to walk across your feet. And it’s even more of a blessing if they eat your food!
