Powwow2012This week, Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio Show is broadcasting from a capital city with a great history that few have visited—Bismarck, North Dakota, at the North Dakota Heritage Center. Joining Peter will be Eileen Andes, Chief of Interpretation & Public Affairs of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, discussing how President Roosevelt’s love of adventure brought him to North Dakota. Of course, part of that history includes Native Americans. Dakota Goodhouse, Native American Expert and Writer and Editor of The First Scout, talks about Native American legends, including the importance and mysticism of wind in Native American culture. Cliff Naylor, reporter at KFYR-TV, shares some of the quirky stories from his travels throughout the state, including a true North Dakota invention, the dog powered washing machine. Mike Boyd stops by with an update on TSA, as well as the latest in the drop of international air fares. Anne Banas, Deputy Travel Editor of BBC.com at BBC Worldwide, talks about the exciting upcoming centennial of the National Parks System. Also Judy Schwartz, Author of Water in Plain Sight, reports about the soil health movement in Bismarck and why people from all over the world are now traveling there to experience how North Dakotans have restored their ecosystem. There’s all of this and more as the Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio Show broadcasts from the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck, North Dakota.
