yoga 2It’s one thing to hope for a decent gym at your hotel, but what if you could get a great OUTDOOR workout during your hotel stay? More and more properties are actually making that an option.

The Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara and the James Hotel in New York both offer outdoor yoga classes on the roof, while The Standard in Miami has sunrise yoga on the bay.

The InterContinental Boston has summer yoga classes on the lawn every Saturday morning.

In Chicago, the managers at Hotel Palomar will actually run around the city with you. Literally. They set out at 6:15 on Tuesday mornings and take you on a jog past major sights around Chicago.

It’s probably no surprise that you can find outdoor exercise all around Hawaii. Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu’s North Shore built its fitness center by the water, and also has a weekly boot camp on the beach.

The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua has free programs for guests, which include everything from tai chi to something called….laughter yoga.

Hey, it may sound crazy, but it’s free…and it’s healthy. So why not give it a shot?
