Travel Tip: The Hobbit Tour & More Pop Culture Travel Ideas

New Zealand tourism skyrocketed from Lord of the Rings. Since the release of The Hobbit, they’re seeing even more visitors inspired by the films.

Swain Destinations just released three The Hobbit tours, which include visits to the Hobbiton village set in Rotarua, and film locations in Wellington, Queenstown, and other parts of New Zealand.

Stay tuned for the film about Grace Kelly where, you guessed it, Monaco is the other star.  Insight Vacations now has a tour of European principalities, including Monaco and the Republic of San Marino.

It’s not just the silver screen. Would you believe that Albuquerque has seen a surge in tourism? It’s all because of Breaking Bad. The show may be over, but ABQ Tours continues to takes fans to see familiar sites, and there are self-guided bike tours.
