Travel Tip: Multi-Mountain Ski Pass

Locations in this article:  Columbia, SC

Sometime a deal comes across my desk that I just have to share…and for anyone who likes to hit the slopes, you definitely want to listen up. More and more ski resorts are partnering up to allow ski pass holders to visit more than one mountain.

The Monarch Mountain pass actually gets you access to 31 ski areas. We’re talking resorts throughout the Western United States, into British Columbia, and even five ski areas in Germany and Austria. Granted, it would take you all winter to hit even a handful of these places, but at $459 per person, it’s an unbeatable deal.

Then there’s the Epic Season Pass, which gets you unlimited access to all the Vail resorts in Colorado and Tahoe. And this year, they’ve even added three free days at Verbier, Switzerland. Now here’s the bad news: They’ve sold out for this year, but in March they’ll have early-bird passes for next year’s ski season

Still available is the Mountain Collective Pass. That’s sold by Liftopia, which is an online retailer for ski passes. They’ve brought together four major ski areas: Alta, Aspen/Snowmass, Jackson Hole, and Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows. For $379 per person, you get two free days of skiing, and half off any additional lift tickets.
