Tipsy Toddler

Earlier this week, Hawaii News Now reported that a 3-year-old had been served vodka on the Alaii Kai Catamaran Hawaiian dinner cruise. The child’s OJ was a swapped out with a vodka OJ cocktail, so strong that it would have been fatal if he had consumed the whole 12 ounces. The parents only noticed the switch-up after their son finished half and started acting wild and struggled to stand up. The cruise provider Roberts Hawaii has issued an apology and a refund. The parents told the Associated Press they don’t plan to sue, but they do want to raise awareness.

Hot Head

Trouble was up in the air last week in the UK when a 24-year-old passenger was trying to get an early start on his buddy’s bachelor party. Unfortunately, the party ended too soon when his Monarch flight from Manchester to Majorca stopped in Gatwick after he attempted to set his buddy’s hair on fire. The prank resulted in the rowdy prankster being arrested on suspicion of endangering the aircraft as part of the airline’s zero-tolerance policy toward disruptive passengers.

Tinkerbell’s Disney Don’t

Is looking good a crime? Turns out looking too good in costume can get you barred from entering Walt Disney World. April Spielman, a 15-year-old Orlando teen, learned this lesson the hard way after spending more than 2 hours getting ready in Tinkerbell attire for her first trip to the park with her boyfriend. To perfect the look, Spielman spray painted her body in glitter and did her hair, nails and make-up. The look was so convincing that security officers asked that she change, given that the Disney dress code bans adult clothes that can be viewed as a costumes for those over 10. Disney magic came to the rescue and the teen was provided with free clothes and free FreePass tickets to enjoy for her day at the park.

Drunk Granny on the Offense

Earlier this year, 58-year-old New Zealand grandma Frances Macaskill was so drunk and unruly on Qantas flight that her behavior resulted $19,760 worth of costs to the airline. She is now due in court where she faces up to 2 years in jail and $5,500 in fines. On board her flight, Macaskill broke into her duty-free alcohol and then began to hit the seat in front of her. When the seat didn’t put up a good fight she punched a male passenger in the face, resulting in heavy bleeding. She was then restrained by the cabin crew, which caused her flight to reroute back to Melbourne. Macaskill has acknowledged to the court that she has a drinking problem.

The Skinny Woman’s Heavy Cargo

On Wednesday the DEA arrested AKA LA Falca, also known as the Skinny Woman, a drug ring made up of 36 employees who worked in baggage handling at San Juan’s Munoz Marin International Airport and trafficked cocaine on the side. The arrests weren’t just in Puerto Rico, three American Airlines employees–two stationed in Miami and one in Dallas—were also arrested. The drug ring trafficked cocaine to major U.S. cities by handling couriers cocaine stuffed backpacks in the employee restroom. If convicted, the defendants could face 10 years to life. The DEA released a statement citing the arrests as “reflect[ing] their relentless commitment to working with our partners to aggressively fight drug trafficking.”
