Where in the World is Peter Greenberg?

Harder to track down than Carmen Sandiego. More difficult to find than Waldo. He’s Peter Greenberg, and he’s never in one place for too long.

Every week, we will supply you with a photo of Peter S. Greenberg taken somewhere in his travels. We’ll also provide clues that will help narrow down the search.

Clues:

  • While the town is now known as a destination ski resort, it was once known as the only place around with an electric light. In 1878 the first electric light in Switzerland was installed at the Kulm Hotel, located in this town.
  • The first official Swiss tourist office was established in this town due to its superb winter conditions.
  • This town located in the Swiss Alps was host to the 1928 and 1948 Winter Olympic Games, making it one of three venues to have hosted the games twice.
  • Standing at 13,284 feet, the Piz Bernina is the highest peak in the Eastern Alps (5th highest overall) and is located just a few miles south of Peter’s mystery town.
  • Opening in 1904 and spanning the length of 1,722 meters, this city is home to the world’s oldest natural bob sled run. Don’t mix what Peter is drinking with this outdoor activity!

  • The famous church of the springs (Saint Maurice) located in this town once held the power, granted by Pope Leo X in 1519, to give those who drank from the stream to:
