Like Peter, Alabama Governor Bob Riley was in Gulf Shores, Alabama this past weekend.
As Peter examined the consequences of the oil spill on his radio show, the governor was there trying to drum up tourism, which has fallen dramatically in the wake of the spill.
Later today, we’ll have more details about how the spill has affected the local area, with reports from local mayors, the area’s unofficial “Turtle Tsar” and many others…
