ID Your Bag, Personalize Your Luggage

Have you ever found yourself at the baggage carousel grabbing the wrong suitcase? What if you didn’t realize it until it was too late? The good news is, there’s a very simple way to avoid this major mistake.

The bottom line is you have to make your suitcase stand out from the crowd. The first rule of thumb is to skip the generic black suitcase.

That’s just asking for trouble when there are so many options out there.

Stick with the unusual or bright colors and believe me, life will be a lot easier at the airport.

Now, I think identifying luggage tags are must, but don’t share too much information.

There’s no need to broadcast your home address when a work address will suffice, or even just your name and contact information.

Of course, there are some pretty unique luggage tags.

A company called WishingFish sells brightly colored tags that really get the point across, with phrases like “This is not your suitcase” and “Nothing worth stealing in here.”

Or you can give you bag a really unique twist and tattoo it.

That’s right, a company called Bag Tats makes stickers that are designed to stay affixed to your luggage, and identify it as your own.

There’s proof right there that necessity really is the mother of invention.
