This Mother’s Day weekend, some of us are doing the traditional Sunday feast and others are splurging with a day spa or going all the way with a resort destination vacation.

No matter how you spend it, consider this weekend an occasion to pay tribute to mom with with these spa packages.

This month, Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas is teaming up with the American Heart Association for a give-back Mother’s Day package.

Through May 31, pay $224, gusts can choose three of the following treatments: 40-minute massage, 40-minute facial, 40-minute scrub, natural glow make-up, scalp massage, 40-minute pedicure, or 40-minute manicure. For every package booked, The Spa at Trump will make a $25 donation to the American Heart Association.

Spending a few days at the iconic Canyon Ranch is the next best thing to living the spa lifestyle all the time. At Canyon Ranch’s Miami Beach Hotel & Spa, the Mommy & Me package from $150 offers the rare occasion for moms to indulge while spoiling their little girls at the same time. Mom receives a nourishing foot therapy, using rich and rose-scented oils and creams, while her little one gets a yummy ice cream treat for the feet, based on milk, honey, vanilla, and marshmallow. Chocolate-covered strawberries and the famous Canyon Ranch cookies are also included.

Inside the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC’s West End is the Sports Club LA, which is open to day visitors (three-hour complimentary parking is available). Mom-friendly treatments include the Sunset Rose body cocoon specially priced at $99 (most body treatments start from $144), which involves a geranium/grape-seed scrub followed by a hydrating mineral wet mask infused with rose oil, and finished with a rose-petal-lotion application. Or, try the hour-long peppermint manicure and pedicure for $75.

The Spa at the Surrey is an Upper East Side destination, with treatments designed to de-stress and detoxify city dwellers.

Make it a getaway with mom with the three-hour Half-Day Escape package for $385, which includes a customized massage, facial, manicure, and pedicure, plus complimentary beverages and snacks. Or go for the splurge with the Full-Day Escape for $780, which includes five and a half hours of personalized treatments.

Just when you think that you’ve heard it all, the Resort at Pelican Hill in Southern California, takes it to another level. Show mom just how much you love her with a six-hour treatment from $1,060 per person. The Master’s Palette includes top treatments from every collection, including a 60-minute “body gelato” rub, a specialty bath, manicure and pedicure, and shampoo and style. Or kick it up another notch with the $2,000 Timeless Package, which includes any spa treatment that you desire, at the time you choose. From sunrise to sunset, spa therapists and attendants are available  to whisk you to and from your services and other leisure activities. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Even family getaways are rolling out mom-friendly deals. The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld is celebrating moms with a package from $170 that includes overnight accommodations, a champagne toast and rose upon arrival, and a 50-minute spa treatment at nèu lotus spa.  Treatments include a lemon-espresso coffee skin treatment or a massage featuring bamboo shoots of various sizes soaked in essential oils. This package is valid only for stays between May 6 and May 9, 2010.

Escape from Manhattan to the beautiful Hudson Valley at Emerson Resort & Spa in Mt. Tremper. For $150, a spa package includes 25 minutes of each of the following: lemon grass body polish, back, neck and shoulder massage, facial, and manicure.

Down in San Antonio, Texas, the Watermark Hotel & Spa gives mom what she really wants with its Margarita Getaway. Valid through May 31, the package includes a manicure and pedicure featuring a lime soak and salt scrub, followed by a citrus-scented moisturizer. Finish up the afternoon with lunch at the Roof Top complete with a margarita on the rocks. This package starts from $140 per person, plus an additional $99 each to add a massage or classic facial.

This weekend, the Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco is offering its Mother’s Day Magic package from $475 per room, which includes a Bay-view room complete with binoculars for easy viewing, a bouquet of orchids and other tropical flowers, and brunch reservations for two at Silks Restaurant. Additional brunch guests can join for a reduced price of $30 per person (compared to the usual $55). The hotel is also knocking off $20 on $150 gift cards to Burke Williams Spa in Westfield Center.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach is rolling out plenty of treats for mom, including a special three-course prix fixe menu for $35 on May 9, and a Mother’s Day Off package at Lapis Spa for $144, which includes a  manicure and pedicure, use of the spa’s water therapies, and access to the gym and Fontainebleau’s pool deck for the day.
