Cruise Inc. In-Flight on American Airlines

Cruise Inc. on American AirlinesYou can cruise at 35,000 feet!

If you’re taking an American Airlines flight between July 1 and July 15, you can catch Peter’s CNBC special “Cruise Inc.: Big Money on the High Seas.”

Select flights will be showing the hour-long special as part of American’s in-flight entertainment programming.

If you haven’t seen it, “Cruise Inc: Big Money on the High Seas,” was one of the highest-rated specials on CNBC when it premiered earlier this year.

Peter and the CNBC cameras gained unprecedented access inside Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Pearl, spending seven days exploring the ship from bow to stern, above and below decks.

The 14-story floating city is a destination unto itself. It holds 2,394 passengers and 1,150 crew members. And it offers passengers everything from sushi-making classes to expensive Botox treatments.

But, big ships cost big money, and one misstep, whether it be bad weather, a late departure or even running short on beer, can mean a tidal difference between profits and loss.

Can this fast-growing segment of the travel industry navigate the rough seas of a changing economy?
