2010 Winter Olympics Travel Planning Tips

2010 sounds like it’s far away right? Nope, it’s next year – and guess what? The winter Olympics are about to happen. Here’s what you need to know …

You can officially buy your tickets through as company called CoSport.

But since CoSport is a broker, prices are going to be higher than buying tickets directly through the Olympics committee.

So if you have a distant Canadian cousin, now is the time to resurrect that relationship.

The first phase of ticket sales is over now, but the second phase will begin this spring.

Whatever tickets that are left over and any new ones that have not been released will be available on a first come-first serve basis.

Of course as we get closer to the Olympics other brokers and scalpers will have events for inflated prices.

But remember that these aren’t authorized sellers, so if you get scammed, don’t come crying to me.

Don’t feel rushed to book a hotel now.

If history is any guide, the fear of running out of hotel rooms is unfounded, as corporate groups often block large quantities of rooms but when people don’t show up those rooms get released.
