Save Money With Cash Back Deals at Credit Card Travel Portals

Credit cards can earn you more than just the standard frequent-flier miles. You might be able to get cash back on your travel purchases with certain credit card through a growing number of travel portals.

Discover’s cash-back cards, Discover More and Discover Open Road have no annual fees.

The ShopDiscover.com website gives you access to over 154 merchants that give you up to 20% back on your purchases.

On this site, there are at least 20 travel merchants.

So you can purchase your Carnival or Royal Caribbean cruise, book your rental car with Enterprise, or find accommodations with Hotels.com.

Travel providers on ShopDiscover are currently offering 5% or more cash back on your purchase.

Chase Bank has three cash-back cards, with no annual fee.

If you shop on Chase’s Rewards Plus site, you can earn up to 3% cash back on your purchases, which includes Marriott and United Airlines.

A big word of warning here though: Reward cards tend to charge higher annual percentage rates than other cards.

So let common sense be your guide here: don’t get a credit card just because it promises you a rebate.

But if you’re a savvy traveler, the right card can get you a good deal.
