Avoiding Crowds and Crowded Times

Do you dread waiting in lines when you travel? Well, here are some tips on how to avoid the crowds and still enjoy the major sites.

If you plan on visiting the Statue of Liberty, don’t go during July and August, or you may be waiting for several hours in line.

The least-busy times are January or February, but if you want to skip the lines altogether, take the Staten Island Ferry for one of the best views in the city.

Even better, it’s free.

Nearly 25,000 to 33,000 people visit Ayres Rock in Australia each month.

Unless you’re dead-set on visiting the rock, escape the crowds and visit Macdonnell Ranges or the Devils Marbles.

When visiting the Eiffel Tower, the line can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours.

June, July and August are the busiest times of year, but November and December before the Christmas holiday are your best bet.
