Health & Wellness Hotels

Want a check-up with your turn-down service? The next time you have to see a doctor, do it in style with something called a wellness hotel, or a “healthtel.”

Located next to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, the Kahler Grand Hotel has a 24-hour staff of on-call nurses for guests staying at the International Hotel (the 10th and 11th floors) who are receiving medical treatment.

The hotel also offers escorts to the hospital, meals for special diets, and chemical-free rooms for sensitive guests, with rates starting at $79 a night.

The Canyon Ranch Health Resort, with three locations in the U.S., has physicians, acupuncturists and a variety of medical specialists on staff.

Four-night programs start around $2,000, and include state-of-the-art testing equipment to personalize your program.

And the California Health and Longevity Institute is partnered with the Four Seasons in Westlake Village, where a three-day package includes team of professionals, such as a physician, dietitian, and exercise physiologist to create your personal health plan.
