How to Increase the Hotel Romance Factor

Valentine’s Day may be long over, but that doesn’t mean you romance on your next vacation is lost. Here are some tips on how to make your hotel room more conducive to a romantic weekend.

Bring along your favorite perfume or cologne and mist a light bulb when you arrive; it scent your room when the light is on.

If you’re planning on a bath for two, keep in mind that many hotels are beginning to remove tubs from their guest rooms, so choose a hotel with an oversized tub or whirlpool bath– and make sure you’ve explicitly requested one.

For a quieter evening, request a room that overlooks a garden or ocean, and avoid any room that’s near the swimming pool or elevator.

And don’t forget that the concierge can be your best friend—ask them to set up the room ahead of time with flowers, champagne or chocolates to surprise your significant other.
