As fall approaches, many travelers are planning trips to catch the foliage.
Many people think that New England is the place to visit, but here are some tours in places you may not expect.
Instead of traveling east, head west to a place known for its vineyards: Napa Valley.
Hop into a hot-air balloon basket with Napa Valley Balloons, and soar high above the wineries, where you can see grape vines change from green to bronze in late September and early October.
In Oklahoma, try hang gliding with Kite Enterprises. The four- to five-hour lesson takes you hang gliding off Buffalo Mountain for views of fall colors.
At Snowmass in Aspen, you can ride the Silver Queen Gondola. It travels two-and-a-half miles and more than 3,000 vertical feet to the summit of Aspen Mountain.
Once at the top, you will find panoramic views of the fall scenery.
