Travel Tip: Hotel Theaters

Seeing a performance inside a hotel isn’t just reserved for Las Vegas extravaganzas.

In fact, there are hotels with theaters around the country, so you don’t have to go far for your entertainment.

At the DuPont Hotel in Delaware, they’ve got a space called … you guessed it, the DuPont Theater.

This is the home of touring Broadway productions and children’s programming, so it’s a favorite among locals as well as visitors.

There’s not one, but two theaters at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, a registered historic hotel located in a converted train station in Tennessee.

The Centennial Theatre regularly has shows on Fridays and Saturdays, including seasonal events, live music and other performances.

You’ll also find the Jukebox Junction Theater, which hosts family-friendly productions—in fact, kids get in free with a paid adult.

The Moore is thought to be the oldest remaining theater in Seattle. Today, it’s also a hotel, and showcases everything from community programs to touring bands.

Or just head to any of the McMenamins hotels in the Pacific Northwest. Most of these properties have theaters on the premises, where you can watch $3 films or live performances along with a pint of beer and pub food.
