Almost every week, a new airline seems to be flying long-haul nonstop—and discounted—service to America.

Last week, Hainan Airlines announced new routes from China to Los Angeles.

Norwegian Air Shuttle is flying from Providence, Rhode Island to Europe.

Now, IAG—the parent company of British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus—has announced a new long-haul airline that will connect Europe to the U.S.

It’s called Level, and it will be based out of Barcelona, Spain, and will fly from Los Angeles and Oakland to Barcelona with a pair of new Airbus 330 aircraft.

The airline will also fly from Barcelona to Buenos Aires and to the Dominican Republic this summer.

Tickets are already on sale with fares starting at just $149 for a one-way ticket.

Look for other low cost discount airlines to start service soon to the U.S.

With all those additional seats in the marketplace, we might be on the verge of a fare war with U.S. competitors—just in time for summer.
