Travel Tip: Post-Election Uncertainty Creates Travel Deals

In the wake of our presidential election, the world seems to be worried about travel.
Fewer folks are boarding planes, renting cars, or staying in hotels.
But that’s not just in this country—a growing number of overseas travelers who might otherwise be coming to the United States have decided to stay home.
Recently, a friend booked an airline ticket from Los Angeles to Seattle.
Normally, that would be about $300. This time it was $63.
Traveling from LaGuardia to Syracuse is usually about $400. It was $88.
Norwegian Cruise Line is now selling cabins on some of its Caribbean sailings—and the Caribbean is down 25 percent—for $65 per night.
At those rates, many of us can’t sit at home for $65 a night.
This also applies to hotels throughout the Caribbean, where room rates are being discounted about 20 percent.
Give yourself an early Christmas present in the wake of global post-election uncertainty and treat yourself to an inexpensive, uncrowded vacation.
