This festival focuses on the arts, and traces its roots back to India. The event is open to volunteers of all ages and skill sets. Check out the program below and remember to listen to the Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio Show broadcasting from the Jaipur Literature Festival in Boulder, Colorado.

The Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) is a branch of one of the biggest festivals for literature worldwide hosted in Jaipur, India. The festival is a free event, and includes panels and workshops which host artists, musicians, and authors who discuss a variety of topics. What began in India over 25 years ago has spread across the world, and this will be the second year Boulder has hosted the event. Guests this year include Her Majesty Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck of the Kingdom of Bhutan and award-winning author Aaron Hirsh.

The JLF takes place at the Boulder Public Library, and is open to volunteers. If you are interested in supporting this event, there are a variety of options from which to choose, and no special skills are needed to sign up. However, if you do have a talent for interior design or excel in event planning, you could volunteer as a crew member and become one of the Venue Managers, or partake in Decor and Infrastructure Assistance. Other volunteer positions—such as an author transport—allow you to personally interact with guest speakers as you walk the author to and from discussion panels. The festival invites people of any age to volunteer, but if you are younger than 18 a parental signature is needed to participate.

If your stay in Colorado will not be long enough to participate as a festival volunteer, you can donate to the Jaipur Literature Festival in Boulder, Colorado on the website.
