It’s never too early to start Thanksgiving and Christmas travel planning.
The good news is that many city hotels will not be full.
That includes the possible exceptions of the Caribbean and Hawaii, where the hotels and resorts will almost always be at capacity, or at least very expensive.
But you can still find bargains easily.
A lot of those hotels will offer extras like free breakfast, kids staying for free, and free parking.
Some will even allow late check out.
But what if you’re headed to a location where the hotels are already at capacity?
Check local colleges at your destination.
Chances are you’ll find a lot of empty dormitory rooms that many universities will rent out on a short term basis at very attractive rates.
