The simple answer: not really.
But there are some days that are better than others.
As a rule of thumb, the three worst days of the week to buy airline tickets are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Why? People tend to panic on Fridays and make last-minute decisions.
On the weekend, they tend to do their errands, as in…buy airline tickets.
So what are the best days? Sunday nights and late Tuesday nights.
Why? On Sundays, there are very few business travelers or corporate travel bookings to drive prices higher.
Late Tuesday nights are good because discount tickets that were booked on Monday, but not purchased within 24 hours, come flooding back into the airlines’ systems after midnight Tuesday.
But don’t check online for these deals. Call the airline directly. They don’t often share them with any websites.
