Radio Guest List–Phocuswright Conference, Hollywood, Florida–December 12, 2015
This week’s broadcast of the Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio Show comes from the Phocuswright Conference 2015 in Hollywood, Florida. The Phocuswright Conference has built a travel symposium consisting of over 1500 attendees from all over the globe. Attendees can be described as today’s travel, tourism, and hospitality industry’s most influential leaders, visionary thinkers, and innovators around the world. Not to be overlooked are the brightest 35 leaders in the travel industry who are under the age of 35 and take part in the Young Leaders Summit during the conference. The event breaks down into workshops, seminars, activities, exhibitor showcases, and networking opportunities.
Travel, technology, and innovation are the buzzwords at this conference, which also touts special breakout sessions. New for 2015 is The Battleground, a program where contestants have six minutes to pitch their innovations to a tenacious panel, and are then rewarded with an opportunity to pitch on the main stage. The three remaining graduate to the Travel Innovation Summit—where all the cutting-edge technology and ideas are put forth for potential opportunities to meet investors and partners for their innovations. Here to speak with Peter Greenberg about this tremendous event is Tony D’Astolfo, the Phocuswright Managing Director, who will speak about all the trends taking place during this year’s Phocuswright conference. Adam Goldstein, the Co-Founder and CEO of Hipmunk is also joining to discuss how Hipmunk works and can work to any traveler’s advantage. Additionally, Editor in Chief of Travel Weekly Arnie Weissman will be reporting on what new technology and surveillance have in store for travelers.
