This week, the Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio Show is broadcasting from the Epicurean Hotel in Tampa Bay, Florida. Tampa Bay may be the third largest city in Florida, but in Peter’s book it’s the number one underrated city in the state.

Joining us will be Tampa Bay historian Wallace Reyes, who explains the often overlooked heritage of Ybor City and the incredible melting pot of Chinese, Germans, Cubans, Spanish, and Italians—not to mention Tampa Bay’s title of the cigar capital of the world. The foodie culture has caught up with Tampa Bay, but a few legendary restaurants have remained. We’ll also speak with Andrea Gonzmart, fifth generation owner of the Columbia Restaurant, the oldest continually operated restaurant in Florida, with15 separate dining rooms and some very special recipes.

Scott McCartney, Travel Editor for The Wall Street Journal, details why many large hotels are now fighting with online travel agencies, and why some customers booking through those sites could be the first to be bumped if the hotel is overbooked. We’ll also discuss how airline and airport security has changed in the wake of the Paris attacks and the downing of the Russian airliner over Egypt. There’s all of this and more when the Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio Show airs from the Epicurean Hotel in Tampa Bay, Florida.
