This week, the Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio Show broadcasts from Barcelona, Spain at the Hotel Arts. Designed by architect Bruce Graham and built for the 1992 Olympic Games, the hotel stands near the shores of the Mediterranean Sea on the boardwalk. The edifice made of forty-four stories of blue glass and exposed steel houses a collection of Spanish contemporary art and six restaurants and bars. Frank Gehry created a golden fish sculpture, which is on display at a terraced garden of the hotel and sits poolside.

On today’s show, Scott McCartney, The Wall Street Journal‘s Travel Editor and a show regular talks about traveling for Thanksgiving, domestically and internationally. Alan Warren, a historian, and tour guide informs us of the real story of the Spanish Civil War. Also joining the show is Mike Boyd, President of the Boyd Group, speaking about canceled routes on large airline carriers and the smaller Gulf carriers continued growth.
