Travel Tip: A Look At The Rankings for Airline Satisfaction in 2015

unitedEvery year, J.D. Power polls passengers on North American carriers, analyzing their satisfaction across a number of categories—including cost and fees, the reservations process, and in-flight services.

What’s interesting is that airline satisfaction in 2015 is actually up compared to last year, mostly due to better crew service and in-flight services.

Because Americans have short memories, most of us don’t seem to mind the fees for checked baggage restrictions as much as we once did.

However, the real bottom line was that passengers are more likely to return to an airline based on service and experience, NOT price or schedule. That’s a big eye opener for a lot of people in the industry.

Those who do choose airlines based on price or schedule aren’t necessarily going to recommend it to others.

United fell to last place.

Among low-cost carriers, JetBlue tops the list and Frontier fell to the bottom of the pack.
