Travel Tip: Portable Chargers You Can Use On the Road

iPhone_5_34Hi_Stagger_FrontWhat’s the most frustrating thing about carrying our high-tech gadgets on the road? Keeping them charged, of course.

How many times have you found yourself plugging multiple gadgets into your laptop—which is plugged into a wall—just to get a small charge?

Instead, pack a wall charger with multiple USB ports, along with an adapter for foreign countries.

Belkin has a charger with both standard USB and micro-USB cables, so it can charge almost any device—including the Kindle Fire.

iClever makes one with six USB ports so you can charge multiple devices with one plug.

Plus, the new Octofire is the first charger of its kind to have eight USB ports, and it detects just how much juice each device needs to distribute the power correctly.

You can also look into carrying a portable battery pack, which provides power without the need for a wall plug.

For travel, a couple of good portable chargers for the road are the mini Power Bank from RAVPower and the Anker Astro Mini, both of which are no bigger than a tube of lipstick.
