Travel Tip: Early Ski Season Deals

skiIt’s hard to believe that we’re talking about ski season already. But some people are already hitting the slopes. Here’s where you can catch the earliest ski season deals of the year.

Low nighttime temperatures and high elevation mean that Arapahoe Basin in Colorado was the first resort in the nation to open this year.

It usually stays open until June, so the $289 season pass is actually a great deal.

Loveland and Copper Mountain, also in Colorado, traditionally open shortly after.

Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada, is known for its early snow.

A season pass is valid November 7, and it doesn’t just get you access to the slopes. You also get discounts on lessons, food, and it even extends to free gondola rides in the summer.

In California, Mammoth Mountain is expected to open November 13. If you book right now, there is a deal that includes lodging and lift tickets for $99 a person.

I always say…it’s never too early to start planning, and in this case, it can actually save you money.
