It’s the fastest growing segment in cruising, and perhaps the travel industry itself, river cruising. No broadway shows, no casinos, no rock climbing walls. No crowded ports. It’s a slow immersion into culture, history, food and….your own thoughts as you glide slowly down the rivers of the world.

And the latest entry? The S.S. Catherine, from Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection. That’s where we’re broadcasting from this week, as we sail down the Rhône River in France. It’s a brand new ship, christened by the legendary Catherine Deneuve. Listen in as Peter talks with USA Today‘s Gene Sloan. He’ll also interview Chef Bernard Zorn, who sources the food for his dishes from farms in Lyon, one of the culinary capitals of the world.
