Can’t get to Tokyo? The nation’s capital hosts the National Cherry Blossom Festival from March 20 until April 13. More than 3,000 sakura trees were given to the U.S. as a gift from Japan in 1912, which now bloom around the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, and East Potomac Park.
