A Smart Fitness Tracker
Fitness trackers have become the norm for data-focused, health-conscious travelers. In the last three years, devices like FitBit, the Nike Fuel Band, and the Jawbone Up have entered the market to track the number of steps you take, calories burned, sleep patterns, and so much more. This week, Samsung entered the market with its second piece of wearable technology. The Samsung Gear Fit combines the best of a fitness tracker with the features of a smart watch. Like the Samsung Gear, the device can receive calls, emails, texts, and other alerts. As a smart watch, it has all the expected features including a heart rate monitor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. With those tools, it tracks steps, heart rate, sleep time, and exercise level. The Samsung Gear Fit goes on sale in April.
