No surprise here, skating at the Rink at Rockefeller Center is one of those iconic New York experiences. So Apple Core hotels has a skating package two of its properties. The $250 rate includes your accommodations, up to four skating rentals at Rock Center, and of course, hot chocolate afterward.
Hotel Solamar in downtown San Diego has a package with the outdoor rink at Horton Plaza. Rates are from $140 a night including two ice skating passes and, yes, hot chocolate. I’m sensing a theme here.
Nearby, the Hotel Del Coronado has an ice skating rink overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Ever thought of skating in the desert? You can at The Cosmopolitan, where its pool has been transformed into a skating rink.
The Boca Raton Resort & Club in Fort Lauderdale has transformed its croquet lawn into an outdoor skating area called the Pink Rink. That’s right, the ice itself is pink. And a portion of the proceeds goes toward the American Cancer Society.
