4. Los Angeles (LAX): 3.30 Hours
While you’re waiting to be processed at LAX, go ahead and start streaming some of your favorite Netflix shows. In March of this year, passengers waited an average of 3.30 hours to go through customs. More than 177,000 people who went through customs at LAX waited more than 30 minutes. Some critics blame the long wait times on a lack of scheduling flexibility with airport staff. They say more flexibility would allow airports to respond to challenges that arise from having a busy international terminal. In the last three years LAX has welcomes 14 percent more visitors. By 2021 there will be 9.6 million more people coming through the gates of LAX.
