One Passenger’s Shocking Carnival Triumph Pictures

When designer Chase Maclaskey and her boyfriend, Mike Harmeier, boarded their first cruise in February 2013, they expected little else but a relaxing getaway.  Mike proposed on the beach and she said yes. The very next day, their romantic getaway turned into a cruise from hell. An engine fire stranded the ship for five agonizing days. Hardly any power, no running water, no working toilets. Passengers were forced to stay in deplorable conditions, pushed from their cabins and eventually, out onto the ship decks to escape the stench of raw sewage.

A romantic memory? Hardly. But at least these two have what’s probably the world’s most dramatic engagement story to tell their grandkids someday. Check out the ill-fated Carnival Triumph pictures.
