5. Recreate the Appalachian Trial in the Audra State Park
You can still enjoy a long trail with spectacular surroundings of water and trees at the Audra State Park in West Virginia instead of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Some of the main activities include kayaking, picnics, camping and there also many nearby attractions such as the Teter Creek Public and Fishing Area, the Philippi Covered Bridge and Museum, and the West Virginia Wildlife Center.
