60 US Airports to Get TSA Pre-Check Before 2014

In October 2011, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) first announced its Pre-Check program, which initially launched in just seven airports. Since then millions of passengers have used the system and passed through security 2.5 times faster than the average passenger. Pre-Check passengers are able to keep their laptop in the case and do not have to remove belts or shoes.

In addition you can now, apply for TSA Pre-Check. Though, it might be more efficient to apply for Global Entry.

On September 4, 2013, the TSA announced that it will further expand Pre-Check to 60 new airports, with plans to be in 100 airports by the end of the year.
