Travel Deals: See Baby Sea Turtles and Save

Three types of endangered sea turtles–the Green, Hawksbill and giant Leatherback–travel thousands of miles each year to nest on the protected black sand beach of the Rosalie Bay Resort in Dominica. And this summer, you can witness turtles nesting season while saving 40 percent.

The peak time for sea turtle nest season runs between now and September 15, 2013. During this time, you can save 40 percent on stays of two nights. The Rosalie Bay Resort, a wind- and solar-powered property, also helps guests participate in the sea turtle conservation program. You can help patrol the beach to protect nesting turtles, aid researchers in collecting data or relocating nests, and you may be “on call” for when baby sea turtles emerge from their nest.

Right now daily rates begin at $150 per couple plus tax and service. Those rates include healthful continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi, yoga classes and guided nature hikes near the eco-resort. Stays of five nights or more also include complimentary roundtrip airport transfers.
