When summer arrives, most people think about heading to cooler climates. But I’m here to tell you how to travel like a contrarian…and find even better deals.
Does summer in Arizona sound crazy? It’s not, and it’s also when you can find incredible deals at the top resorts. The JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa has rooms starting from $179 a night in summer, and they’ll throw in $100 resort credit.
The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has rates that start at $199 a night, including $50 resort credit, starting in June.
Think Florida in summer is only for the Disney-bound? Think again. The Conrad Miami has a wacky deal where you pay based on the temperature the day you book. So when you book between June 30 and August 31, say the weather tops out at 90 degrees that day…you pay $90.
And in Fort Lauderdale, the Riverside Hotel has a deal where the longer you stay, the more you save. One night starts at $140—stay two nights and save 20 percent, and stay three nights and save 30 percent.
