Amenities Galore with Qantas, the Flying Kangaroo

Qantas, “The Flying Kangaroo,” is the oldest continuously operated airline in the world for a reason: superior service. Even before your flight, Qantas First and Business customers traveling on flights between Australia and London and Dubai (and starting July, between Australia and Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Santiago, and Johannesberg) can access Chauffeur Drive. A chauffeur will drive you to the airport, or upon arrival, take you to your hotel or back home. First Hosts even call information on Qantas facilities and arrange flight plans with you! Neat, right? You’ll be greeted at the First check-in area and invited to the award-winning Marc Newson-designed lounge. In short, everything is super personalized. While at the lounge, enjoy a meal from the signature menu created by Neil Perry, Australia’s leading chef. Or relax at the Payot Day Spa.

First Class passengers the day before travel to share Up in the sky, you’ll get an eight-course tasting menu designed by Perry and prepared on board, or consult with one of Qantas’s Sommeliers in the Sky on the wines and champagnes that will complement your meal best. Business Class travelers can help themselves to the Rockpool-designed international business menu, or if you’re on the A380, you can visit the Business Lounge for refreshments or a cocktail. Otherwise, you can convert your seat to a skybed and get some shuteye in the comforts of a sheepskin mattress cover, blankets and a duvet.

Amenities for Qantas First customers include SK-II products (skincare, toiletries, and an eye mask), available now on flights to Dubai and on all first routes starting July. What’s more exciting, though, is the 100% cotton jersey two-piece charcoal grey-colored pajamas (branded First with black embroidered kangaroo) you’ll get, along with a pair of slippers and black socks! Business travelers will be treated to a Kate Spade or Jack Spade travel pouch, each including a collection of luxury Malin+Goetz skin care products, eyemask, and socks. Also, personal telephones are available on first class and business class seats, as well as the option to reply text message. Qantas makes sure to show that on flight, everything is about you!
