Delta Airlines

Compared to other airlines, Delta makes it significantly more difficult to buy flights for less air miles. Still, Delta’s SkyMiles Frequent Flyer Program offers some good value awards. You can use your miles to get the last available seat on a plane. Just as with American’s Award Travel rates and United Airline’s MileagePlus program, Delta’s SkyMiles also allows you to combine any cabin type and award level in a single round-trip award ticket.

Also, you can redeem air miles with Delta’s SkyMiles and SkyTeam partners. Using your Delta miles to fly on other airlines is an excellent go-to option, particularly if you are a SkyMiles member seeking to travel within Asia. You may redeem miles as little as 15,000-20,000 air miles for round-trip Award Travel tickets on Thai AirAsia flights between Singapore and Phuket and between Bangkok and 20 cities, among them, Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City. Alternatively, you can fly with Delta’s newest SkyMiles partner, JetStar, with the same amount of air miles currency.  Take a glance at Delta’s Partner Airline Award Travel page for inspiration on possible Asian destinations you might want to head to next.
