Voluntourism Spotlight: Concordia International Volunteers

In this week’s Voluntourism Spotlight, find out how to work on community building in the Netherlands.  Check back every Wednesday for more voluntourism opportunities and tune into Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio on Saturday for more information.

Concordia International Volunteers is a UK-based organization, founded in 1943 committed to international volunteering. Unlike other programs, Concordia works with more than 60 partner organizations to swap volunteers and bring together diverse teams for projects. In addition, the company is a non-profit operation that asks participants to offer only a small administrative fee.

Concordia International runs a variety of programs in the Netherlands including environmental programs and community outreach. Volunteers pay Concordia a program fee, which is on average $250 or so, but are responsible for their travel costs, visas, and insurance.
