Slideshow: Secret Island Hopping

Princes Island Attractions

Although small in size, the Princes Islands are know for their architecture, community and activities. Humble residential areas made up of wooden houses paint a picture of Mediterranean island life while numerous restaurants and bustling piers bring the comforts of a beach town on the mainland to the islands’ coastline.

Along with walking and biking, visitors can take a ride around the main attractions in horse-drawn carriages. Historical sites to see include the Church of Agios Ioannis Prodromos in Burgazada which dates back to the 830s and was reestablished in 1896. For incredible views of Istanbul and the Sea of Maramara follow any number of the cycling routes and hiking trails that trace hills of the Princes Islands.
